Future (しょうらい Shōrai) is the eighth episode of the Gakkou Gurashi! anime which was produced by Lerche.
Synopsis[]
After much time had passed, Yuki finds the lock for the key Yuuri and Miki were trying to find the lock for. From this, the group obtains the Staff Emergency Evacuation Manual.

Summary[]
"Kurumi", "Yuki", and "Rii" on Megumi's notebook
As Megumi is walking towards a desk, a notebook opens on it. It's her diary. The writings becomes scribbles and between the pile of scribbles there are Kurumi, Yuki, and Yuuri's names written. Seems like Megumi still remembers about them. Yuuri is in the staff room, trying to find what Megumi's Staff 2S key unlocks by checking on Megumi's desk. While Yuki, who is wearing her dirty rain boots, is chasing the dirty Taromaru in the now footprint-covered halls. Yuuri sees them and stops them from running, so Yuki catches Taromaru. Yuki explains that Taromaru slipped out of his collar when she wasn't looking and she found him swimming in the water tank on the rooftop, which caused both of them to be filthy. It's algae-filled, so they need to take a bath.
Bath time
Yuki is bathing Taromaru, but Taromaru goes berserk. Kurumi asks if she needs her to lend a hand. Yuki says yes and thanks her but changes her mind when she notices that Kurumi is holding her shovel, saying that it's her job. But then Yuki changes her mind again and asks Kurumi for her help, but asks her to leave the shovel out. Kurumi holds Taromaru while Yuki takes off her clothes, and they start round 2 of the bathing time.
After the bath, Yuuri drys Taromaru with a hair dryer while Miki dries Yuki's hair. Yuki wants to use the hair dryer, but Miki says she can't because Taromaru is using it.
The dirty clothes dried quickly. Taromaru nibbles on Yuki's hat, but Kurumi says it's dirty so she take it away. Miki who was staring at Yuki in an surprised expression asks Yuki to stop sitting around half-naked and put her clothes back on. Miki also complains about how they need to take advantages of the equipped facilities while they can for the future, to prepare for graduation. Then they talk about going to college or work. Yuuri seems troubled when Kurumi asks her what she would do, and replies by asking Kurumi the same question. Yuki thinks that Kurumi is going to work with and marry Shovel-kun. Then Yuuri asks what will Miki do. She replies that it's still vague.

Then there's a flashback of Yuuri and Megumi talking about starting a club, because it's better to have concrete goals rather than just passing the days. They both think that "The School Living Club" is a good name for it. Then Megumi gives her a club proposal form, and assigns Yuuri as the president of the club. They put a piece of paper with the writing "School Living Club" on the top of the "Student Council" plate. They then take pictures in front of their new clubroom.
It's night, and Yuuri was looking at Megumi's key when Miki comes in. They both can't sleep. Miki tells Yuuri she realized this school is too well equipped. It bothers her that it's like the school was designed to accommodate people quarantining there. Yuuri hugs her and says that she thought of the same thing, and the answer may be there where the key unlocks. She plans to tell everyone tomorrow but since they both can't sleep, they both check the staff room again, since Yuuri only searched Megumi's desk.
When checking the staff room, Yuki woke up from a bad dream and comes into the staff room. Miki says Megumi asked them to figure out what that key unlocks, so Yuki helps the "treasure hunt". Yuki first finds a teddy bear put it together with Megumi's teddy bear, then finds a sleeping bag and puts the teddy bears inside. Next she finds a mic and headphone and asks Miki to take a picture with the camera there. Miki takes it when Yuki isn't ready. Yuki throws the paper because it's blank and Miki asks her to calm down, when finally the picture appears and Yuki is amazed.

Yuki names the camera super camera, while Miki says it's called instant camera. When Yuki brags to Yuuri, Yuuri asks Yuki if she remembers that camera and the time they took pictures together with it. Miki plays it off by saying Yuuri is angry because Yuki is playing around. Miki asks Yuuri why she did that, and Yuuri replies saying Megumi was bitten right after that picture was taken.
Yuuri looks through the windows and sees more zombies than before, while Yuki unlocks a false panel from a cabinet, revealing a safe inside. The key they found fits the lock and opens it. Yuki goes to report to Megumi that the request was done. Inside, there's a DVD, a list, and.... a Staff Emergency Evacuation Manual. Yuuri tells Miki to wake up Kurumi, and the three read it together. Inside, there's many things that explains about the infection, a biological weapon, preservation of human race, etc. They were all shocked and thought the school knew something like this was going to happen.
Yuki talks to Megumi about how it wasn't easy to look for the thing she asked them to look for. She also reported that she found some cute stuffed animals and will show them to Megumi later.
