Summary[]
Yuuri recalls how her little sister Ruu once ran after her hat and ended up dying by being hit by a car. At the present time Yuuri is how we last saw her: armed with a rubber mop and facing the roaming dead of the Megurigaoka Private High School's corridors. She enters the nursing room for protection, despite a scare from one of the dead inside the room.
Shortly after she finds herself starting to despair, and ends up fleeing the building through one of the windows. She walks outside, under the rain, and slips and falls down just at the place where the pistol that Kurumi found and Miki discarded had landed.
Yuuri still feels guilty from having allowed Ruu to run away and therefore being vulnerable to the car, and feels that she may deserve to burn and die for that reason. That guilt comes to the fore while she grabs the pistol and uses it to shoot at one of the closest dead. She then runs into the remains of the helicopter that crashed nearby some time ago and climbs them.
Yuuri then decides to shout for Yuki. Since she is too far to be heard, she tries next to shoot upwards instead. She shoots four times, and the noise turns out to be enough to attract the dead who were approaching Yuki inside the school, relieving her from that danger.
